SBC Said to Be in Talks to Buy AT&T
AT&T, once a monopoly in the telecom industry, is now only a shadow of its former self. Its business in fixed line is fast depleting, and has only a few corporate customers whic are its biggest bet. It is in talks with SBC Communications, another Bell company for a merger.
